After years of juggling spreadsheets, digital calendars, and planning templates, I’ve finally built something I wished had existed all along: Glance, a long-term planning calendar designed to help you see the bigger picture.

Glance started as a frustration. I used Ali Abdaal’s “Year at a Glance” spreadsheet for a couple of years, and while it was great for thinking long term, it was disconnected from my actual calendar. Keeping it updated was double work. I wanted something that combined the clarity of those visual templates with the practicality of a real calendar.

So I built it.

The frontend is built with Compose Multiplatform, and the backend runs on TypeScript. For now, only the web app is available, no installs, no setup, just open and plan. Since it’s built with Compose mobile apps are on the roadmap, and desktop apps are technically possible. Depending on user feedback, I’ll prioritize what comes next.

It’s still early days, but if long-term thinking matters to you and existing tools aren’t cutting it, give it a try: https://getglance.io

I’d love to hear what you think.
